Zinsky. It is not about getting it. It is about hearing, processing it. Grasping it. And learn a few details if the subject is of interest to you.
For me the world events are interesting and interrelated. Events of the world affects everyone of us. That is why I just like to have broader exposure to what is going on what the motives are. It is just interesting.
Daei Napoleon stuff I am not much into because because it is not backed by any facts. But when you dig in you can see how Daei jan Napel'on theories kicks in by some.
There are now more factual evidences associated with 28 mordad or even 57 revolution. Shahin and I were talking about it as far as being able to go and actually see them at Stanford university.
For me all of these are interesting. From the two party systems here in the US, to Trump, to King Charles, and to iran and IRI. Putting emotions aside these things are just interesting.

KAmkAr so far ok. we are peons. We are not activists and we are not marked as anyone with any substance. You gotta hear the text and WhatsApp exchange coming from iran.

But Yeah there is always something in back of your mind there is something...

Iran is just best to travel. For us at our age for as long as we have the physical ability to do it. And specially iran because of backward and subpar infrastructures when it comes to tourism.

I do not spend much in Tehran or Rasht or other big cities. Avoid relatives, maybe visit just immediate sibilants. Not into going to every relatives house seeing the same people and eating the same kind of food.

Another issue with Taremi that has surfaced is that he will miss perhaps 6 matches for his club due to Asian Cup. That needs to be considered in all calculations

Farzad,
Let’s assume I start listening and somehow by miracle of universe I actually get it. Will it be for my personal benefit or I may use it some other way?
I’m being serious. Not trying to be an Ahole! There are subjects we learn because it will help us do better emotionally, financially or physically. Will learning international relations help me in anyway? I assume my arguments here will be more interesting but what else is my motivation to learn about that vs stuff that I can actually use in my daily life.
I, personally, running out of room in my brain. It’s leaking information more than it’s putting in. I got to use it wisely!

To understand international politics (again to understand it and not necessary to be accurate about it) is to listen to various debates and discussions. And then you connect the dots. And yes you may connect the wrong dots.

Anyways, knowledge and understanding the depth of issues cannot be achieved through headline news or what Biden said and what he did not. You need to hear things from all angles.

We cannot ignore the discussion below simply because in this discussions we have Israeli Intelligence Minister Gila Gamlie, or former National Security advisor Bolton. In this discussion you also hear from Mohsen Sazegara, Vahid Beheshti, and Mehrdad Yousefian.

Dr. Wurmser says a lot of interesting things. I think he has gotten it right on the money. (1:15)

If you are interested to hear about what is going on, you have to have hoseleh.

I sent you an email with some info. It probably goes back to late 1700s or early 1800
