Comments: Saeed About Bannon. I did not mean his MAGA views. My question was that as a democrat do you think Newsom is on a right track to have Bannon as a guest. I am well aware that in the woke religion / cult or whatever it is called Bannon is like what Najess or infidel is in Islam. I think a viable Democrat candidate will need to calibrate oneself to the right a bit. And I think that is what Gavin is doing. Even if on the surface.
Comments: Saeed. We always imposed or were imposed tariffs. You have near 40 trillion of debt. You need to find money to pay for this. Taxing people above 55% is not gonna happen in this country. This admin is looking into every holes to find $$$ to address the debt. So I can understand your frustration on US markets. During Biden in 22 between August and September market lost 15% of its value without any Tariffs. And from Jan '22 until September '22 it lost 21% of its value. Market went straight up since the election and needed some correction as well. And yes together with uncertainty on Tariffs. Which opened opportunities for investment again. Now is the time to double down. These prices not gonna last long.

Comments: Farzad; As for Steve Bannon, if he is for real, he can be a big danger to existence of USA. If that is the case, why the real enemy of USA do not shower him with money and other assets. Technology, Wall street and Universities are the main assets of USA. Without them, USA will be desert with lots of gun owners driving their pickups.
Comments: Farzad: As for tarrifs, there is no such thing as reciprocal tarrfis. Trump put tarrfis on Canada steel for a phoney theory that Canada produces a drug. Trarrif on china is for goods and they reply it on US agriculture. So this tarrif theory is well covered by business schools and there is nobody in favor of it. Market is not happy about it and they already have given signal to Trump that he plays with fire. And the fire it will come. Losses on market could wipe out US all together. Remember 2008? It will easily stretch into other aspects of economy. Now, 2008 was beyond the control of the administration, but this time is made by TRump and nobody else. Economy was delivered t his team in the best possible shape, possibly the best ever. All these budget deficit ball shit that you hear is nothing new. It has been managed by one thing only and that is called growth. Without growth, there is nothing in this world that can save USA.

I think that is the right thing to do by democrats. Comments: Saeed, Capitalism 101..indeed. I think receprical Tariff makes sense. Whatever tariff you charge us, we charge you. That is fair right? We will charge you on your exports, exactly what you charge us for our exports. makes sense. but what Canada, Mexico, EU, China, and many countries are saying is that NO.. We charge your exports (10-200%) as we are doing right now and we are used to it. You charging anything like we do on your stuff, on our exports, is not acceptable. Well that is not capitalism. That is shafting United states. It is the Government's job to cut trade deficit, annual budget defict, and the whole deficit. US with 37 Trillions of deficit/debt, Paying $2 Trillion just on the intersts for that debt. That interest payment is larger than the budget for our national security. Essentially spending and throwing away $2 Trillion a year. If you think that is smart economy the stick with your RF profession, which is something you are master of :-) If America continues this and 37 Trillion by end of the year becomes $40 Trillion, the interest for it will grow proportionally and we end up paying additional 10% of interest. these are the debit our children and grandchildren have to pay. It is like negative mortage.. you just keep adding to your mortgage interest. Only an Anti America advocates this. Only the so called "Amrica Setizs" want the country to fall. And by Amrica setiz I dont mean someone against Trump policy or someone against Biden policy. Amrica setiz likes to see America hurt and weak. And there are many like them around. Just visit Qods... Certain industries, like metal (Steel and Aluminium), Chip development, Pharma, and Energy we have to be self sufficient. For our military we need steel to build tanks aircrafts and many more... . we can't afford for our steel to come from China or Europe. Only 50% of our Steel manufacturing is operational. What used to be called "Steel Belt" as a result is now called "Rust Belt" for that exact reason.
Comments: Farzad: What would be manufactured in Canda and US is not my call, as I do not have any clue, and neither you or Trump. It is the job of companies, that is called Capitalism 101. It is the job of car manufacturer to make their cars most competitive to maximize their profits and hence the value of their company. That is how you grow the capital, again capitalism 101. This is like Mullahs in Iran, trying to dictate everything without having a clue about anything. Globalism is paving the way to make products in a most efficient manner (where to buy parts and where to make them) and open it to the largest market. Again CAPITALISM 101. Nothing else works. |
