Usually love Sagar's analysis, so I put up with Krystal when she has those cuckoo leftie moments! :-) PBD is great ... yeah totally MAGA but has great podcasts. The showdown between Chris Cuomo and Dave Smith was classic! :-) Lefties are trying to gain grounds with their own podcasts like the MeidasTouch, but their content only appeals to the left. They will have a hard time attracting centrists and independents unless they change.

Comments: yeah... Rogan himslef is like a libraterian / Independent. I like Rex Fridman as well. Lots of high profile guests from the whole spectrum. Enjeti at BreakPoint is also good but he is more of an analyst than a host. Bet_David also brings high profile people, but he is totally MAGA.
Comments: kAmkAr, it's not about Rogan himself, it's about his guests. I only watch his show if he has a guest that I think will be interesting. He brings on people that would never get the light of day on a mainstream show. Otherwise Rogan himself doesn't have much to offer. Farzad, Newsom is a "mimbo" ... he is already thinking about his career after this stint, using his looks and charm, since any chance for a presidential run is DEAD at this point! :-)
Comments: Shahin... US presence will stop Russia. This is the most repeated question asked. This ceasefire is such a right thing to do. No one, no progressive supports starting a war, yet alone continuation of this war which had heavy destruction, millions killed and many displaced. I still ask why continue. And the answer I get is what if Russia attacks again. Again??!! they are attacking NOW, took over 20% of their land, and if they continue they may take the whole thing. Continue??!! There is a big force advocating continuing war against Ukraine. Zelenskyy is scared shit as his marching order is continue the war. His life may be in danger if he does not execute.

Comments: Farzad: As an independent country with great natural resources, Ukraine wants to join NATO just like those other countries you mentioned. It is the right of their people to enjoy a free prosperous economy and peace. We did not push them (although are happy), it was natural and inevitable. After the fall of Soviet Union and cold war and creation of all those countries it created new situations and order. Again Putin invaded them in 2013 tool land away, invaded them again in 2020 and will do again if Trump negotiate something. This on a long run will not be good for US and free world
Comments: Turkey and Norway were the only NATO nations bordered with Soviet. With Norway the only nation bordered with Russia.
Comments: Russia did not invade other adjacent countries which became NATO. They did have issues with Georgia (Birthplace of Stalin) and Ukraine.
Comments: Shahin, Sometimes I wonder about your questions whether it is serious due to its simplicity. After the German unification United states / Europe / NATO / and Soviet had an agreement not to move NATO east. Even though that was the deal, The eastern bloc countries like Poland and Romania joined NATO regardless, specially since the Soviet was falling. Even after the fall of Soviet, some of the former soviet republics like Latvia, Estonia and Luthania joined NATO. They are bordered with Russia. Russia was not happy... And West pushed more ... Russia got to a point and agreed ok, all these vountries are ok but not Ukraine. Why not Ukraine? Becaus in Russian history both in WWI and WWII Russia was attacked through the flat land and flat border of Ukraine. That is a security issue for Russia.
Comments: So Russia cannot have a border with any NATO countries. That is a red line for beginning an invasion
Comments: I still do not understand the push for the war. Not even once prior to this a ceasfire was even put as an option. I really really do not understand the continuation of the war with over a million death. After 3 years you lost 20% of your land plus a million death. What does justify continuing it? |
