Comments: Typical Iranian mentality is evident here. That is they want goverment to provide them with everything for them to live their lives. The government is only there to provide security, order and basic esstentials such as roads, transportation, water, and power. Basic welfare for citizens who are in distress is also part of a government's resposibility for the period of distress. But Jobs and funding for jobs is not the responsibilty of the government.
Comments: Here's a possible forecast of what Trump and company might turn the country into. My wife and I just learned an interesting fact. The only Republic in the world that was a dominant colonial power and the Republic at the same time was the Roman Republic, after less than 400 years of being a republic, the sheer dominance led to its transformation into a brutal totalitarian empire. Based on that, my thought is that China is very very important for the continuation of the US as a republic, because if history teaches us that it repeats itself, had there been no China to challenge the US dominance, would be headed to become a totalitarian Empire just like the roman.
Comments: My biggest fear is that American society becomes like the society in Russia. Corruption, oligarch running the show and rule of law being manipulated by few powerful men; plain old dictatorship. Sort of wild wild west. Major economic investments will be around military, real estate and Oil & gas.

Comments: It made sense to come in, take some time to see where the non-essential projects are and how it affects society by getting rid of them. They way they are doing it is just ideological that is why I said before that you need a president with empathy
Comments: I used to watch a little bit of rightwing TV and read the WJ. I've stopped doing both since this site has taken up the responsibility of providing detailed coverage of the spin. By the way, I now have 3 nieces and nephews (none are government employees) who have lost the funding for their projects and will most likely be losing their jobs. One works in a lab. One works on testing water quality for lakes and rivers in upstate NY and one is a big wig in a firm that got lots of projects from USAID. They have gone from 400 employees to 10 in the last month and expect to be closing shop soon.

Comments: Yes shahin. We all know he is not an ordinary politician. He just does it differently. And honestly that is the reason people from all walks of life and ideologies voted for him. And that is what they want to see. So that part should not be surprising. A good chunk of majority is behind it. Whether we feel good about it or not that is a separate discussion. An excellent and very intellectual discussion to have actually. A lot of people did not feel right with "alternative history in making" such as Dem party, the party of people's voice becoming the party of censorship. The party of peace becoming the party of war, driving the world to a nuclear existential threat, and accountable for millions of killings in Burma, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, Palestinians, and Sudanese. The party of legal immigration and border control as opposed to opening the gate for many to just herd in and creating crisis. The party of middle class becoming the party of corporate elites. I leave infinite genders, the taboo of calling someone she or he, and nonbinary toys department alone for now. Anyways, these are the reason people vote alternatives. Like they did in 2024. And I am certain that if people feel this is not something they want, they will make sure their voice is heard at the polls on November 7th 2028. I don't think folks here fully comprehend this NATO thing. Europeans fully understand it. They acknowledge their shortcomings, with many willing to address the issues. They did need the wake up call. European NATO members are not after stopping the war, their main goal is winning the war. There are no winners in wars. Basically the neocons plans are being stalled. Again, regardless of how we feel, it is indeed an interesting era.

Comments: Farzad, no it was released after Phase 3 trial but they ended up vaccinating the placebo group towards the end because they claimed it was unethical to leave them "unprotected", so there was really no "long-term" safety data. And it was released way before FDA approval, maybe that's what you mean. Between Phase 1 and FDA approval was only 10 months anyway, and that has never happened before. Fauci is very proud of that, but once Bobby Kennedy forces CDC to release the actual data, everyone will see the truth. Well actually never mind, some people will never see the truth! Sorry didn't mean to get into vaccine stuff, back to politics.
